Good schools can't meet every need. Dyslexia is a difference in the brain that can make reading difficult. But an estimated 10-20% of the population has some degree of dyslexia, so it's quite common. In fact, if a child is dyslexic, it's likely that one of their parents is also dyslexic. It isn’t caused by bad eyesight, low intelligence, or lack of effort. Actually, it comes with strengths like ingenuity and big-picture thinking. So, there is no "cure" for dyslexia, but a dyslexic child can certainly learn to read with the right support.
