DID YOU KNOW ?
Some children naturally process language differently than others, making it hard to read. It's not a lack of intelligence. But without the proper support, it can lead to a profound lack of confidence that affects all areas of life.

Orton-Gillingham

In the early 20th century, physician and pathologist Samuel Orton of Columbia University collaborated with progressive schoolteacher and psychologist Anna Gillingham to develop this excellent approach to remedial reading instruction. So, dyslexia does not mean that a child must be destined for low literacy or its depressing consequences.

Let's learn to read.

Emily responds to the unique and valid perspectives that children and neurodiverse learners bring to the material. This program is a rare blend of research-based methodology and empathic insight to support the child's dignity and happiness.

For many families, virtual lessons are what make it possible to maintain the frequency and longevity that are essential to Orton-Gillingham. Emily Literacy meets this need with our expert online instruction.

Orton-Gillingham works because it is diagnostic, individualized, multisensory, and emotionally sound.
